I miss sewing my costumes and putting my hair up. The heat from the stage lights and the butterflies you get after dress rehearsal. Forgetting all the pain of throbbing toes when you walk out on that stage. I miss the feeling of being in another realm, and that you really are a sylph or a Queen. I miss the lipstick and the tights, the tutus and the tears. I miss class, I miss the barre and I miss the cheers. I miss ballet.
